This class provides the NHSD Middle School student with exciting opportunities to learn about art from Ancient Cultures while using technology and learning about internet research, copyright law, and Microsoft PowerPoint. There are four parts to this class: The first is to research the art of Pre-historic times and the ancient cultures of Egypt, China, Japan, India, Maya, Australia, Native America, Islam, Greece and Rome, and Africa. The second part is to use technology to create PowerPoint presentations. The third part involves producing a piece of artwork inspired by an Ancient Culture and the last part is to help build a 'Virtual Museum' which will showcase the entire class' original work.
